Graphics Fundamentals SR125B
The goal of this course is to enable the student to gain a recognition
of the fundamentals of the computer graphics environment including
terminology, technology, hardware, software, markets and competition.
STUDENT PROFILE:
CSO sales reps, sales management, and PSO Consultants who are focusing
on workstation business in a pre-sale environment.
PREREQUISITES:
None
STUDENT PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
o Describe the evolution of computer graphics from a customer's
perspective.
o Define (25) key graphics terms.
o Identify functions in the graphics pipeline and describe how each
function contributes to the creation of a computer image.
o Describe how the graphics pipeline can be implemented and
modified in a variety of ways to achieve 3 different levels of
performance and realism: 2D, 3D and high-end 3D.
o Given visual clues, identify key graphics features and describe
how they benefit the customer.
o Describe the graphics features the 2D, 3D and high-end 3D
customers typically require.
